It is Mae without the beautiful piano and it has a positive vibe. Despite the fact that this cd is so simple it is good. The first guitar solo on the album hits after the chorus and it is a few simple slides. The song runs a predictable path through addictive melodies and a solid rythm. However, once the verse hits the lead singers change in vocal style remind you of Brandston. The hollow vocals remind you of the ataris and the upbeat drums put an instant smile on your face. When you first pop this record in your cd player and hear the drums play on gravity you know exactly what to expect.

The most innovative thing that this cd brings to the ring is using the name 'the title track' instead of writing 'this too shall pass'. on repeat this could be a new sound you should try. But if you are growing tired of listening to J.E.W. So, I am going to go out on a limb and say the fold isn't going to change your life. If you get a chance I think these shows would be pretty good. They are currently on tour with some descent bands like emery, anberlin, the smoking popes and bayside. It seems the Fold has similar views because they kicked their patroleum days and toured with a van that runs on vegtable oil!!! Their van is currently for sale so they can buy a diesel monster (i guess their views aren't the same, or maybe money changes everything). So what made me want to write a review on the Fold? I was reading their website and trying to waste time. All three of these bands are great but their sound is nothing ground breaking.

The cd is a wonderful feel good album that reminds me of Jimmy Eat World, MAE and the ataris. On the Fold released This too shall pass. They also have some descent producers cause it has been awhile since I have heared a TN band with poor productions. They are a great label with a wonderful ear for new talent. Tooth and Nail holds a soft spot in my heart.
